S5 solenoid turned 3/4 of a turn, free in your next service.
But if I was to buy one from there, adjustable would be the go.

But to answer your qustion, go the single stage simple on/off. These adjustable pots are quite big and finding a suitable mount point isnt very easy.

Out of the way but within reach. |

I have a specialist who is interested in this... he will be test and tuning this kit based on the above mentioned "schematic" Vs. Manually adjusting solenoids... he is in belief that the electronic version will be better suited for those with some understanding of adjustable shift pressures. He passes on his deepest thanks for your help with this, as do I.

Well I got mine and installed it on Friday.
These things are brutal! How can this not be bad for your gearbox / diff!! Does anyone drive around with it on all the time?

I cant remember the last time I had mine turned up past half-way (even at WSID), and thats more than enough for chirp between gears. Mine is always on, but very low setting maybe 15-20%. Just enough to make the shift firm but still very smooth.

in short....NO.
I dont recommend driving with it on ALL the time. Just turn it on when you are giving it a bit at the lights or hills or whatever. In traffic, I strongly recommend turning it off because the firm shifts get annoying at low speeds.

You should have your trans fully serviced and checked before installing one of these kits... as there could be issue's that need to be fixed first beforehand...

as shav mentioned dont run them at low speeds as they are very violent in the shifts from first to second.
i have heard that they can cause second gear to fail but never heard of anyone i know having this problem, if your to paranoid of having one i sugest not to get one. i like it i have fun with it and a few commie drivers back off when they see the car shifting that quick.

Yes, and when we had about 8 drops of rain, did third as well. Hense my concern about how it can be good for the car.
