Hey all!! i was doing some searching through the aufalcon.com links and i had a look at one sight that mentions that the AUII xr6 vct exhaust is different than the AUI xr exhaust!! What are the differences in them? Its mentioned that the auii one is higher flowing,,how true is that?? Also on my AuII xr i have some sort of twin setup but the secondary pipe is sealed,, is it suppossed to be this way?? i hope i have made some sense!!! :

I think you would find the XR VCT exhaust from S1-3 would be the same only the premium models fitted with the VCT differ from the XR series.
Fit a aftermart prformance exhaust system a big improvement over both factory set ups. buickman |

Ok, all VCT stock exhausts (S1-3) were a tiwn system setup after the cat. They were all the same size, identical in every way (except the first few hundred S1 VCT's....I'll get to that in a second.)
All the XR6 HP exhausts (S1-3) were identical the the Forte exhaust. The first few hundred VCT's did NOT have the "blocked" pipe at the rear, they had the twin tips the same as the XR8. For some reason they changed this to the "blocked" H pipe setup (I think its some sort of noise control..not sure) and it stayed that way till the end of AU production. Before you ask, NO, its not worth "unblocking" the H pipe, there is no performance gain to be had at all.....replace it all with a 2.5" cat back and you will see far better results.

Just bet off getting a cat back system, with extractors and a high flow cat,

I could do that but I just can't afford it until next year because I'll be getting rims soon.

The only reason it's there is because ford only made one system for the IRS cars because they were far less common therefore it was too much hassle to make a 6 and an 8 catback. The v8 system obviously has 2 sets of headers and one makes use of the blocked pipe which isn't blocked
and don't unblock it it's a waste of time

Stock exhuast is useless anyways, no real point in unblocking it, just get ya self a cheap cat back with a resi,it will sound lil better then stock, but not over the top
Like mine lmao
