SR_AU was apparently going to organise a BBQ in Wagga for March or something. You will need to speak to him as I am not involved in the organisation on that day.

Otherwise I'll probably organise a family day for the Vic group at Hanging Rock later this year and I'm pretty sure we could organise WA, QLD and NSW family days on the same date to have an Aust wide AU day.

Easter is 6 April to 10 April.

What about organising it for the week before or after Easter? That would help people plan their week off, if that's what they intend doing.

[Edit] A lot of people will want to spend Easter with family.

Wagga sounds cool -let there be mingling of the Sydney & Melbourne crowds.

I am going to close this now as it is pointless.

The confusion about Wagga being on, being off, who's organising it, who isnt, when, where whatever is just insane.

At this moment there appears to be no Wagga AU day being organised.

If anyone wishes to organise a day and follow through with it (Orbit maybe?) please PM me and I will do what I can to assist however, at the moment, I simply dont have the time to get actively involved in setting something up. As Mick and Aust well know, there is a lot of work involved and usually personal costs to bear to get these things happening.

Later in the year, when time permits, I am planning on trying to organise a National AU Family and BBQ day where there will be an event held in each capital city (and any regional city as well) on the same day. For this I will need someone from each participating city to step forward and help organise the day for their respective area. If no one steps up it is basically impossible for it to be organised from interstate and therefore wont happen in that particular place.

Daniel, you need to pull your head in. This is a storm of your own making. No one else has had a hand in this, just you. You started the initial thread, made the promises, set the location, created the urgency and then just pulled out. Now you are trying to say that you were undermined? Sorry, that doesnt cut it. You created this all on yourself and you can live with the fallout all by yourself. No one else had anything to do with it.
