Looks like an Austin Healy. I had a 68 MGB back in the late 80's. MG and Austin crossed over on some parts. I think I found tail light lenses and inside door handles were swappable on some Austins with the MG.

Yes, if the A-pillars are all chrome it’s an Austin-Healey 3000, if they’re part body colour it’s a 100-6.

Camera clipped to the nearside screen post and trade plates make me wonder if they’re shooting a demo video for selling it.

Don't see pre FG Falcons anymore usually. But when driving through Pakenham I see heaps of Aussie classics and 80's/90's Japanese cars. Like a trip down memory lane. Nice to see them still around. I'd even buy one if everyone in Pakenham didn't want 80k for their E series XR6.

Anyway, I have seen this BMW twice, the 1st time I really liked it, but didn't have time to snap it.
This time I did. Yeah, I know, probably doesn't fit 'this thread' Ezackery, but what the hey.. I think it's a nice thing. I'm Not a bemma fan at all mind you, unless you wanna talk M6 V-10 madness, then I'm interested...

I have more pics from yesterday, but I left my GPS in the truck

Seeing quite a few Val wagon's lately.
Not sure if they've been sitting around in sheds for a while and suddenly people have gotten them back on the road.

No such thing as an E21 328 model...

Loved the noise they made.
Mate had a E30 323 with an exhaust going back over 20 years ago.
It sounded so much better than my XR6, however it was alot slower. He talked a big game but was too scared to race, I took it for a drive though and even in first gear I knew it wouldn't stand a chance against the ED.

They sure would out handle the large mighty Falcon that’s for sure.
Yes those beema early inline six’s sounded porn those days wound out through the gears.
Felt typically heavy solid euro you felt bullet proof driving them spiritedly.
Wish we kept it such a classic now.

Growing up in the 50s and 60s you would see Austin Healeys, Triumps, MGs (the proper ones) and other sports cars every day. Now you only see them on the occasional club run. I miss those days.

Spotted a pre-facelift Citroen DS this morning, fully restored and being driven by an older lady.

I've always preferred the later model with the swiveling enclosed headlights, but still, any DS is going to stand out among a sea of white dual cab pickups.

I've always loved the big Citroens, I had a major crush on the C6.

There’s actually two “pre facelift” noses. The first, as per your very early picture (my favourite), then a slight tweak in the sixties. Early cars smell different, too, due to their use of RR363 or LHS instead of the oilier smelling LHM that appeared around 1967.

tis funny that you should be talking about the early Citroens.
My 2nd girlfriend had one of these:
https://www.retromotor.co.uk/news/ci...-1976-auction/

and to this day, I have NEVER ridden in a car that's as smooth as that was.
The biggest baddest potholes were not felt AT ALL. Like floating along.
I did note the extra thick seat bases on the seats, to help absorb everything.
Gutless, but a nice car.

Had some great shags in that one!

Cheers,

One Mad Man

The French “did” deep base seats on nearly all their cars for many years. Look at a Peugeot 404/504/505 or Renault 16, 12, Fuego and you’ll see thick bases.

Rolls Royce tried to build a better riding suspension but couldn't.
So they used the Citroen design under Licence.

Interesting, I have never done 2 things I would like to tick off the 'list'.

1. go for a ride or take one for a hot lap, in a modern Roller
2. as above but in a Ferrari

I felt like, if you could at 19 y.o.age, that I was rich when riding in the frog mobile. Her dad (the ex) had one also, but it was a Calais type spec Citroen, bigger, faster better etc. Don't remember what it was, but they had a shit tonne of $$$. Like a 2 story double brick house in expensive suburb, an in ground pool, a lounge that was as comfy as the seats in their cars... and to top that off, they even had a dumb waiter.
I was livin large I can tell you. Her mum was super hot to! Win win.

Ahhh, what it was like to be young and bump (he he he) into the right people.

Cheers,

One Mad Man

Mate is thinking of offloading his “project grade” unregistered ZK. Factory FMX/351 combo and the usual rust areas.

Are these still just organ donors for ESP replicas or XD/XE builds generally?

Unloved, in a driveway abutting a major road in Sydney, rego check tells me it’s a: MER R320CDI STATION WAGON - BLUE - 2007

The deflated airbags and resemblance to a stretched A-Class was what caught my eye. Apparently rather rare, albeit not collectable.

Out today in Mitcham and Ringwood Victoria, Left Hook Ford Galaxie 500 XL.
I couldn't get a photograph as I was the only one in my car.
I am not an expert but looked like a 1964 Model, Light Burgundy Colour.
