Smile AU springs - info required please..

Hello, due to having a 14mth old girl AND following a moment of poor impulse control I have another one well on the way, I have got rid of my AU2 XR8 and now drive an AU1 Fairmont Ghia VCT.

Help its standard!!!

Family comes first naturally, but I mean yikes!

I do however have the option to buy some AU2 XR8 springs cheaply as the current owner is going lower. Will these fit my AU1 Fairmont Ghia VCT 6 cylinder? they are both IRS and that seems to be the only differnece looking at the King Springs catalogue, else they list them as the same part no. regardless of 6 or 8 cylinder. Anyone know for sure if the factory standard springs are interchangeable?

Regards
Family man, V8 no more.....
