Hey guys I have been searching and searching but can't seem to find much.
My manual XR6 has been leaking water onto the brake pedal for a while now. I pulled back some of the firewall sound proofing material looking for a crack around the clutch cable tube, but there was none (turns out the crack was in the spot welds under the wiper motor). Anyway I got the old man to sit in the car and push on the clutch while I watched the firewall with the material removed, bloody hell it moves alot! So I am going to make up a stiffening bracket to weld onto the firwall and possibly bolt on to the right strut tower. Does anyone know of any pics or threads on here documenting a similar process? The only one I could find was Al's XR8 in the E series section: http://www.fordforums.com.au/showpos...&postcount=200 It looks ok and he says it works but surely theres must be more people on here who have done this to give me more ideas? Thanks, Mark |
