AU II XR8 Rough Idle Troubleshooting

Hi all

Have an AUII 200kw XR8 auto on dual fuel. Just last week I was thinking how beautifully smooth its idle was, particularly on gas. But now.... Heres my issue.

• Starts fine. Rough idle, almost stalling, in all gears PRND
• Rough idle on both petrol and gas
• Stalls frequently when cold, just runs rough when warm but doesn't quite stall
• Problem started after running low on gas. Was hard to start and poor idle began (May have backfired). Idle got better next time I drove it but has been permanently crap since.
• Plugs are 10000km old platinum so I suspect they're fine

So the problem seems to have started after running low on gas and a possible backfire (or other one-off noise under the bonnet), but now effects petrol and gas.

Have just spent a couple hours searching so I know all the things it could be, but I just want to know the order I could check things in as I don't want to go buying new sensors if they're not the issue.

I also have an AU3 220 I could change out parts / sensors with if necessary.

Any ideas?
