whilst you say you arnt so fussy on tyres now pete, i can assure you will be when you are driving in the wet with your kid in the car with tyres that are struggling to keep decent levels of traction.

find a second hand set of XR 17" alloys, can be had for as little as 600 bucks with roadworthy rubber.

i already have XR 17" alloys.

should nankang tyres be sufficient quality & safety???
i currently have directional nankang tyres on my wheels for the last 8 months and i'm am happy with the handling apart from the road noise it produces.

I can recommend Tempe Tyres.
http://www.tempetyres.com.au/

I got my 19" rims with Kumho tyres (at no extra charge), very happy with their product and service.

I have heard that the service isn't so good if you are actually there.
I did mine over the internet and it was very easy, maybe I dealt with the boss and that's why.

After using Nankang NS-II Ultrasports on the ute ... I can safely say I will not use them again. They were noisy ... once over 50% wear the grip dropped off dramatically ... they wore so uneven it was not funny.

After reading so many reviews (and driving on Maxxis) ... I can safely say the following few tyres are good:

Marangoni (sp?) Mythos
Maxxis MA-Z1
Hankook K104
Bridgestone RE001 (Adrenalins??)

Don't skimp on rubber ... I'd rather have smaller rims with decent rubber than large rims with average rubber. But that's just me.

Cool

finally got new bling bling wheels... ya gotta love ya wife, she bought it for me.

they're 18" incubus paranormal with kumho ku31 tyres from tempetyres.

lunchtime - while my wife & i waited for the wheels to be fitted, a front on accident occured at the traffic light where tempetyres was, it happened to be a guy in a blue WRX just got new wheels put on his car and as he drove off... SMACKKKK!!!! front onto a Camry. How bad was that???? His new wheels barely a minute old and then bad luck happens. the camry driver was taken by ambulance and the WRX driver was interview by police. this blocked 2 lanes northbound on princes hwy at tempe for half hour. what a day!!!

lowered wagon with nice 18" bling blings... looking sweeter.

yes its the same wagon... wagon has gone sleeper mode for the time being, until baby arrives. too often being pulled over for the wrong reason and getting too much attention with the previous mods however will see what happens later near christmas or early next year with getting back to sporty looks without the unwanted attention.

A rep who used to work at mine, took his off.
Recons it stopped alot of people dragging him off at lights.
He thought it was the cheapest and easiest sleeper mods ever.

Good to be proud though ;)

Actually, I have found that people (and Holden owners) don't want to drag you off at the lights with the Turbo badge on. I had more trying it on with the NA XR6.
