Default Help - Advice on AU Stereo

Good Morning,

My younger brother recently purchased an AU series 2 forte.
He's recently got a car stereo for it - and I'm going to install it.

I was wondering if you guys could assist me.

I need to know where to get a cover for the dash - as it's a single dim stereo i'm putting in and the stock is a double dim (correct?)

Also - Does anyone have wiring diagrams of the stereo ? would make life alot easier! :P (dont' know if his stock one will have the diagram on it)

Thanks a heap

Duane

There is a pocket that goes underneath it that came in the 99 Forte. Part Number is
ER 18846 A1. They come in dark grey only and cost around $18 from Ford. I hope this what you are after, otherwise, sorry to waste your time.

I got mine installed at Car Audio Excellence ... and they put in a standardised songle DIN pocket for $10 ... neat fit as well.

I love my stereo now ... much better than factory.
I get a back massage in the ute now ... the annoying thing is I have to adjust the inside mirror all the time now.
