Default Solenoid and Valve Body replacement

Hi all,

Getting the solenoid and valve body work done on the tranny on Saturday. The gear changes (kickdowns) are getting a little clunkier and I want the smoothness that I get in the wagon.

Going to Fluidrive, price is $440.

How does that fare?

Cheers,

GK

probably not too bad, i've never had it done before, but i would guess this would include a service ie fluid change. slightly off topic, sorry GK, does anyone know a rough price of an auto trans filter kit?

Yep the fluid in the pan is changed but not a full flush. I might get that done as well.

Can't help with a price on the kit, but many here do that servicing themselves. You get the filter and gasket. I've seen them at SuperCheap but never enquired about the price.

depends what you really want i guess...personally i would say get a shift kit and a hi stall convertor, depending on mods probably a 2500-2800rpm one, then you can have quick launches and fast shifts at the same time, time after time
