I really dont get it, why do you have to admit guilt to get the fine waived, when you know you weren't driving over the speed limit??

The system sucks.

yes, ViC is S### House

got my first speeding fine the other day, 67km in a 60 zone - if they pull you over and say you were doing 7km over that would be better than giving them $135.00 for an offence i dont even remember. Have been driving for 7 years now, no previous record.

1.2 years till i move to another state and counting.........

they need to change the slogan to 'VIC the place NOT to be'

With a Box of TNT and a free night you could wipe out a few fixed speed cameras, send the message home loud and clear.

Better yet go around to em and spray paint over the lens and flash with some Flat Black spray paint so all the photos come out Blank LMAO

Find out through RACV who does speedo checks on cars. It will cost some but it may save another fine IF your speedo is inaccurate. It happened to me and although I still lost my license but not for as long as the judge could see It hadn't all been my bad driving.

Its amazing how different the laws are in different states, and how lenient the coppers are. I drive past police and through roadside radars regularly at 110kph, and i've never been fined, in fact up around here everyone seems to do 110 all the time.

Yes I beleive most times they arent bothered about pulling someone over if they fall within the 10%. They are out to get those going flat knackered! Which is a good thing!

Its also the difference between a speed camera and a policeman.
