My point exactly. And I also see yours too. Yes, it is rightly called a Phase 5 because of who built it. BUT, in no way should it ever be considered in the same regard as the previous Phase 1, 2, 3 or 4. I seriously doubt they would have fitted Holley carbs to them as someone else mentioned. No way would it have met the emissions requirement of the day. |

As far as i am concerned, The title "phase" was given, to the consecutive evolutions of the GT Falcon.
How could a tarted up XD be considered as an evolution of the XA. The only problem here that i can see is misleading a wannabe into buying something that they no idea about. |

OK, I should have said XW GTHO. Its a bit like the year 1B.C., it never was called that at the time. |

Its amazing all the C*ap that surounds a body kit that was not made by Ford but by an aftermarket company, just down the road from Ford in Campbelfield, ask for Bob he'll tell you the story. Its not a scantioned Ford product either. They brought the name etc and went about modding cars for profit.

I remember seeing an orange one driving down the road a few years ago. Even though it has no real factory performance collectability it looked hot, especially with those fat wheels you could fit under the flares.

Are there any Phase 4's left? I heard the last one was written off...It'd be a shame if that was true.

but anyway 4 some reason they couldnt get them passed as prototypes due to a lack of funding so phase sold them as ea's but they have build plates to say they were a phase 7. i will see if i can get a few pics of it and the body plates. |
