Iron Maiden are band who have been going for years, haven't stuck to a formula but are still sounding great and are still kings of live metal. Geez I wish they'd tour again, 1991 was so long ago. Bolt Thrower are another example of a band who have stuck to a sound they honed on their own and won't change - their last CD was awesome.

1) every band is a sell out as soon as they sign the're first record deal! Ask James Maynard!
2)and that isn't Metallica... it's Emotallica |

did anyone here go to their st. anger tour??? Their new stuff was used to amp the crowd then just when you thought you were amped enough they'd break out the kill/ride medley!!!
After that concert and even now i still know that metallica is awesome... Its a pity tho.. people who think metallica are a sell out... Are you really a true tallica fan??? you stick through thick and thin... I will always love their music from Kill Em All to St. Anger

Man.. I'm sorry.. I was reeeaalllly hoping that would be good..
But it wasn't.. I could put that together in 5 minutes. Seriously now. It's nothing groundbreaking or new. No flow at all, terrible lyrics/vocals.. and I really hope it sounded so out of place because of their sloppy playing. I think my biggest dissapointment though is how they've wasted Trujillo.. I really hope he does SOMETHING on the new album. |

TZENU - yeh I did see their St Anger tour and thought it was one of the best concerts I've been to. Their set list in Brisbane anyway was HEAVILY devoted to old stuff huh. Maybe like 2 songs (St Anger was one of em) off St Anger - but the rest was old school and it was damn sensational. Interestingly not ONE thing off Load/Reload. So yeh I reckon I qualify as a fan - but I still think they've sold out. Doesnt stop me listening to their music - but I'm not a one-eyed supporter of them anymore thats all. |

I still want to see these guys live, i've missed them once at big day out...
Everything up to S&M was great, im a big fan of Load and Reload, the older stuff is just as great... Since they lost Newstead they've gone downhill... Trujillo does not suit the band... St. Anger was ok, but not what it should've been after so long without a studio album... go to www.myspace.com/metallica & listen toa couple of songs Hetfield is slowly losing his touch... just not in the game anymore... quite sad really :( |
