I'm looking for the numbers stamped on the wheel bearings(not the Ford part number) for the rear IRS. I don't want the ford part number as ford are asking $175 each for these.
Cheers Mark

I cant' help with the numbers, sorry.
Shame it's Sunday as any bearing service should be able to assist you. Have you done the rear's before? I ask because I just had a look in my "Gregory's" and it states that you need "special tools" to remove the bearings from the hub. I'm guessing that means a press or bearing puller or some such...? In any event, when completed can you let us know what "special tools" are required? |

I havn't done this job as yet but i guess i : myself as i do it. I am sure a bearing place will be a lot cheaper than Ford thats why i'm looking for those numbers.

yeah, ok it looks like it could be a fairly simple unit to fabricate for use in a press.
I haven't bought wheel bearings for years but you'd expect a bearing service to be less than half of Ford's price... Good luck with it! |
