thinking of building a little toy . have everything to put it together including the wagon donor. the problem is i dont need another car . i could sell the futura wagon off as is . and typhoon motor & 6 speed auto i have in stock (2 of them) but that wouldnt be any fun!
just looking for comments! do you think it would sell?? worthwhile project or not?? BA futura wagon Red with tinted windows BF XR front BF typhoon motor & 6 speed auto trans . BF tornado 2.73 lsd diff ALL mechanicals under 5000 ks (some new) XR suspension 17 or 18" alloys (maybe BF XR) would need to sell for around the $25000 - $27500 mark comments?? |

Im sure it's obscure enough to attract some interest from serious buyer's, would be one of a kind!

Sounds bloody awesome.
A couple of things, why not go for a BF Typhoon front bar and BF Typhoon wheels. What I'm getting at is make an Typhoon wagon, not an XR6 Turbo wagon And since you'll be rplacing the engine anyway, why not find a high kays Silver/Blue/Black Ba wagon, and deefinately upgrade lights to BAXR set up. Would be an awesome sight, coming from a design stand point, try and keep it clean and simple from the start. For an example, go for a BF Typhoon Wagon - Thus no XR mags, no XR skirts, no twin exhausts. I'm a sucker for a factory look, if you dont follow that idea you'll get a car with a great heart and trans, but the exterior will look very tack, especially with lights, bars, bonnet, wheels from different models and years of the B-series. |

alot of people wish ford would revive the xr-6 wagon...

But Darren i think it's an intresting idea, only thing that may cause an issue is the 6 speed auto not fitting. |

only thing, i can see possible issues with getting it registered........ being a non complied turbo install into a model that was never offered with a turbo.....
hopefully you'll be able to work around those issues darren |

BL**DY do it mate!!! You know you want to build it. We all want you to build it. To me something like that, a completed BA-F typhoon wagon, would fetch a handsome price especially as a one of a kind.
Its a must!!!

Manual peeps, have to go buy a set of 4.11's, then we get their 3.46's cheap. Works well don't you think.

While obviously it will cost you a bit at the start, perhaps you could use it as a promotional tool at car shows?
It would show off your business, and your skills. edit: the all ford day in geelong is coming up, good exposure aswell :king:

As MADNC said check the legalities first.
It would be good but as it isnt a factory option it might be hard to get registered legally.

Don't forget the interior too (instrument cluster, seats and door trims). There are F&R Plexis Grey seat covers on eBay at the moment as well as FPV instrument clusters with 0km (I don't think you can change the km once they hit 1000km+). |

Mechanically with correct diff (2.73) no issues, and would be an awesome sleeper...
Finding a buyer would be the hard bit.... Do it, what is there to lose?
