Default Removing Badges

i wanna fix up the "6" on the boot as it is not lined up with "XR" correctly...how do i get it off gently without me scratching the paint and putting back on and making sure it stays on. also what do you need to make it stay once you put it back on.
thanks

Fine fishing line and some warmth will see it safely removed. Good quality double sided tape to replace....

Try a panel shop, as they refit these things daily...

eucalyptus oil works a treat put some on the top off the space between the badge and the panel go away for a few minutes and pull it off more often than not the badge has already fallen off anyway

No real "template" as such, even in the factory they were literally just slapped on by hand, which accounts for why some of them just look ridiculous.

The badges come up on Ebay all the time, they arent cheap from Ford though - the "8" from XR8 is around $20 on its own :.

Easiest way to line them up is to use a ruler and a steady hand. Ive done mine differently at the back and also cleaned up the position of my Tickford wings.

I'd take measurements off one of the side XR6 badges as a reference for the boot.

we usually use masking tape to makr distance from gaurd edge, or from the repeater lamp or someting similar and just cut the tape around the badges so they can be returned to an exact location. I just frgot to do mine, and we havent had Au XR6 or 8 come in since!
