Default EL GT Wheels in AU offset?

Hi everyone,

I don't have an AU, I have an EF which has AU IRS in the rear end. Does anybody know if the EL GT copies can be had in AU offset? Thereason being is that i cannot use my genuine elgt wheels on the back now and for the time being i am using 16'' AU steel wheels which attracts unwanted cop attention. I like the el gt wheels (despite every man and his dog (and cat too) having them).

Thanks

Try www.wheelking.com.au

Or maybe get a pair of BA GT or Xr wheels in AU offset for the rear, and a pair in e series offset for the front.

Or change the front spindles/hub/suspension to AUII and run BIG brakes.
Then you can just use AU offset rims all-round.

Get an engineering shop to machine the offset difference off the wheel hub in a big lathe...
Or just leave them the way they are and get some nice big flares ;)

karl, ive seen some of the silver EL GT's on an AU ute......they didnt stick out so they must have been copies in the correct offset

best bet would be to ask arround at the wheel/tyre places... they probably dont stock them anymore though :S

i'll ask a few here next week while im out and about anyway

The main reason to get the au offset wheels is to avoid using the adapters on the front.

I can't machine the hub of the rim as it would machine the tapered bit of the wheel nut hole so there wold be nothing to hold the wheel on

Sounds awesome Karl, I would be very interested to see pics of the build.

Also, if you ever want to part with the EL GT rims let me know ;)
