AU2 XR8 will have the engine builders name on a plaque on the drivers side rocker cover. Premium brakes - if there's tickford wings engraved into the calipers at the front then yes, if not, theyre just standard brakes.

I have taken it for a run over 200k and now have more questions. when I change gear I can hear a tap from the back of the car like back lash is this normal? Is it normal for the chuch to be hard to push in? The sale yard put 91 unleaded fuel in will this be ok

Get rid of the fuel asap, XR8's need a minimum of 95RON premium to run properly. I'd give the yard a serve for putting it in too, says very clearly not to.

the handbuilt motors were the 220kw motor,

au2 xr8s either came out in 200kw or 220kw.

and yes get rid of the petrol.

Also the 200kw motors got the hand built plaques...
The clutch's are heavy compared to other cars, especially hydraulic systems but you get used to it pretty quick.
The car yards are cheap skates, thats why they put the 91 ron petrol in so best you get rid of it before it causes damage.

"Cheap" brake upgrade for your AU2 is to get a set of BA to BF XR8 discs and callipers, or SX/SY Territory discs and callipers. Replace the standard rotors with slotteds and you move up in both size and biting power.

Yes, 200kw motors are all hand built, as are the 220s and 250s (Pursuit ute & T3s).
