Plugged a tyre air compessor in the cigarette lighter. It ran for a minute, then it stopped. Mmmm. Fuse! Checked the fuse box and it is OK. Now there is no power at all in the lighter.
Question. Is there another in-line fuse that could have blown? If there is, where is it, and how to get at it |

Did you check the fuse or replace it? Quite often the fuses can look ok but be fried. Try swapping over another fuse of the same amps and give it another shot.

There is a fusible link on the back of the cigarette socket as well
Pull the wires off the plug at the back of the lighter and check for 12V If you have 12V from wires it will be the link blown |

Swaped fuses and it's OK
I'll have to find that fusable link. That's probably the cause. Thanks |
