14k for an AU fairlane ghia is a rip off. You can pick up BA fairmonts for that now and Ghia's for not much more.

yes i would not get a au for that price there are lots of ba fairmonts going for the same price note; the yard proble paid 6-7k for it bump up the price and this allows them to give you a good trade in .i brought my fairmont (ba) two years ago it had 28900 on the window my mate worked in the ford dealership walked inside spoke to his manager and i got it for 22500 and i bet they still made a profit so you can see how much they must mark them up

Although not a luxury, you can get base models Falcons that are up to three years old with 50-80,000kms on it for approx $15,000.

When buying a car, shop around and take your time.

Thats fixed price.. if it went to an auction you'd pay about $11k for that.

And you could get a BA FAIRLANE for that money? ... yeah right.

$14k less $2k trade for a car with 100,000kms. And a warranty thrown in!

Good deal.

What a rip off, why even go to a caryard?, they are dodgy as - far better off buying and selling privatley. For $14K you can get into a BA easily. It may be only an XT (unless you go to auction), but they still have decent interiors, better engines ect. Put some nice wheels on and you have a good looking, newish car.
