AMD - any good or a dud?

So an nforce 4 chipset be better than say, a VIA K8T800 chipset? Also, with a PCI E connection, does this mean that I cant use an older style AGP card? Forgive my ignorance, believe me this is a very steep learning curve.

Yes, nForce 4 is superior to both the outdated VIA K8T800 AGP chipset, and the new K8T890 PCI-Express chipset.

And yes, if you get a PCI-Express equipped motherboard, you must ditch your AGP card for a PCI-x16 one.
