Just heard on the NHRA qualifying show on Foxtell that Eric Medlin has passed away after hitting the wall on a practice run. He was doing what he did best blasting down the 1/4 mile in a sub 5 sec run when the funny car pulled to the side of the track. When they got to the car he was critically injured and passed away. These guys put it on the line all the time for the enjoyment of there fans. I wish his family and friends well.

They just updated the news and apparently is was massive tyre shake that caused the head injuries to the driver, not the glance to the wall.
