Default yes another cam question

Hey fellas,
I'm in the process of modifying my bro's au3 falcon, the original plan was to put a vct motor in but that got canned because of a little too much extra work needed.
My next question is what cam you guys run in your i6 engine. I have no idea what cams go well with these engines. The car will shortly be running a nice exhaust, bigger throttle body and an upgraded cold air intake all due to be on in the next 3 weeks hopefully.
So i just need some feed back or advice on the cam as the quicker the cam goes in the quicker the CAPA flash tune can be installed and the quicker the car will be.

I'll guess there's a few people here that are going to say otherwise, but a bigger throttle body isn't going to do ****

Nope, most will agree. Bigger throttle bodies on AU I6's have been tried many times.. zero success rate.

As for cams, Surecam seems to be by far the best for the AU's at the moment.

If the VCT's too much work stick with exhaust mods and leave thre throttle body alone

Alright bigger throttle body is now out the window, thats a few hundred dollars i can spend elsewhere. Surecams you reckon, i'll give them a look up. How about different rocker ratio's, any one done them. The ultimate goal is to strap on a capa supercharger but i wanna do as many bolt on mods as i can before that so that on the slight chance he loses intrest in his car before he finishes it he wont be out too much money.

I'm a deisel mechanic by trade so its not like doing the actual engine swap was going to be too much work, the reason i decided against it is that having to try and wire up the vct sensor and so forth to control the vct. The time and money i could spend buying the engine, installing it and wiring it up, its much more cheaper and less time consuming to do up his engine for roughly the same power output.
But i thank yous all for your opinons, yous probably already saved me a few dollars on wasted parts.
Keep droping in the opinions on what mods are good and what are a waste of time and money, its always good to talk to people who have done it before, it really helps filter out the crap other people try to sell you.

hey mate, you'll strugle to get any new cams unless its a regrind cos billet is a shortage at the moment dont expect anything for months. Start with extractors exhaust do a search theres plenty of threads on this stuff. Change air filter, extra induction pipes etc.
