Well, I've been a ute owner for about a week now. Slowly getting used to having the urge to take my dog to work or just stop by somewhere and pick up a load of gravel...
But anyways - does anyone find that people throw SHIT in the back of your ute? I park in a busy underground carpark all day every day, and I've had the yoot out to the pub and a shopping centre and a few other places. So far, I've collected: - 3 coke cans - pie tins - crumpled up bits of junk mail - bits of orange skin And all in different places, so it's not just someone in my building with an aversion to early 80's Toyota's... What is the bloody go with this? Who are the half-wits who are walking past my vehicle and thinking to themselves "Hey, there's a convenient looking receptacle... I'll bet he'd really appreciate this coke can to take home!" Any other ute drivers found this?

I haven't done this before, but i'm sure i can see how someone could just get an urge to throw something into the back of a y00t! better than on the ground i suppose :| but still just wrong...

I had it happen with my 64 XM Ute, even when i bought it, it had been used as a bin in the back.

i never have that problem. i don't have the tonneu on mine much, but i suppose i don't go to shopping centres, and i work at a small business, and park 2 metres from my desk.

Only happened once, one coke bottle. But i go flatbed style most of the time, perhaps less enticing.
