I'm about to sell my 2002 BA Falcon which has only 39 000kms on it for approximately $15 500, and downgrade to a 4 cyl car for a much cheaper price of around $4000 -$5500, so that i can afford to have a home deposit.
I'll throw it open to the forum for suggestions for the new Car, but at this stage it's between 1995 Ford Laser with 170 kms and 1.8L Engine for $4990 or 1995 Ford Mondeo with 106kms and 2.0 Engine for $6000 Is it worth paying more for the Mondeo ? Any help on this would be much appreciated. If anyone is interested in my BA, please let me know also Located in QLD |

Personally I think a EF or EL on LPG would be a much better choice, cheaper to run too.
PS. Stay away from the Mondeo, when something dies, you'll be up for big repair bills.

go the laser my one had 370 000 kms when I'd finished with it. Replaced the thermostat and radiator. The rest was just the general wear and tear stuff. Same motor same gear box etc. The interior held up fairly well and the ac was as good as any car I've been in. Only re gassed once in 8 yrs and the guy though it wasn't all that necessary

my opinion, would be take the laser, the only thing that could make mine stop was a semi driver, who said he didnt see me sitting at a red light, and dragged his loaded trailer staight over the poor little bugger.
