The most interesting point for me is the comment "Climate control with dual temperature zones" I dont believe xR8 have climate control nor the GT. Only Fairmonts/Ghia & GTP had that as standard & I dont believe it was an option back then either. So Unless the guy has spent loads on money installing Claimate control, what base car is it?

Ya lost me with that one...... It's advertised as a GT-P, the question was "is it a GT-P" and the answer is "yes, it's a GT-P". Your username suggest's you'd know the difference. :

Funny thing happend - on Thursday I stook my territory into the ford panel shop to report some warranty problems and there was a silver GT-P there exactly like the photo in this advertisement including the low spoiler.

Looks like an XR8 in the photo's, but up close it is easy to tell the difference.

I really had to eat my words when I saw it, was quite shocked at the coincidence but maybe it is the karma.

Anyway, I have no doubt this is a GT now.

I think its just the colour & the different Spoiler which makes it look like an XR8..

Woohoo, bring on the man talk. I could argue with you and make you look like an idiot 4Vman, but you did that all by yourself with the above two comments.

It's obvious that when people like yourself make personal attacks such as the above, that it is because your limited intelligence and mechanical aptitude has reached the end of it's line.

Every post on here from myself, so far, has been productive to the argument. Are you capable of doing the same?

Standard XR8 vs standard GT...... The GT is the better car.

Modded XR8 vs modded GT..... The XR8 will be better VALUE FOR MONEY!

I can't understand why everyones getting so worked up... I'd have a GT in a blink of an eye if I had money to burn, which according to 4Vman, I don't.

LOL, pot calling the kettle black?
Nothing personal in what i said, you need to take a chilll pill and think a bit more carefully about what you say... then maybe people wont see you as having an insecurity chip on your shoulder..

If we are going to disguss this, does it have to come down to personal attacks?

If we cannot bring up point about the discussion at hand then how about keep our mouths shut and stop being keyboard warriers, it's getting very boring.

All you GT/ PURSUIT owners seem to be having trouble understanding that no one has said they are not a better cars of the showroom floor.
But the above list by lsterritoryghia doesnt sound a whole lot differant to a fully optioned XR8,besides the brakes, everything you mentioned, 6 stacker, colour screen, momo wheel, leather, 18 inch wheels are all options on XR8's, this whole argument is about value for money and your above list just proved that the XR8 is better value for money.
I dont realy think a starter button, body kit and extra gauges is worth 10 grand, and if ya got 10 grand to spare, spend it on modding your XR8 so that you can leave all those stock GT/PURSUITS in ya rear view mirror.

As you sit, uncomfortably, in your fantasy watching, also uncomfortably, as an even bigger pile of crap, maybe a $5000 VLturbo or $10,000 VT2SS gradually fades off in the distance ahead of you leaving you in its oily dust.

Meanwhile the GT/GT-P/F6/Ghia owner is driving in luxurious comfort and safety with the assurance that they can overtake almost anything on the road and the confidence that their vehicle was completely designed by professional engineers and built by professional assemblers.
Suddenly a VLtutbo streaks past followed by a fully sik XT, and the driver remembers his youth and all the stupid things he did back then and all the money he wasted thinking he was so clever. He adjusts the climate control down 1 degree, checks his satnav, changes radio station and sits back enjoying the nirvana that is driving a sports saloon in Australia

Some things cannot be taught, they must be learned.
