Well i just went for a nice long cruise tonight in the lane and pulled up at a mates place. when leaving they noticed a big puddle of oil where my car was parked. i jumped underneath with a torch to check it out and the ****ing steering rack is ****ing out fluid. just wondering if anyone knows a rough price for a reco 1 and a rough price for a brand new 1 so i can start lookin tomorrow. its a s1 au fairlane VCT. thanks guys and girls...

May not need a rack replacement ... could be from the switch on the rack.
Would need to see pics of exactly where it is leaking out from.

yeah i'm gonna get under and have a look, last night it seemed to be coming through the right hand side boot though..how much are the swithches worth? it might just be dripping down over the boot....ba.. i dunno...i'll check.

Switches are around $70. Second hand rack from a wreckers will be around $100, and a reco one about double that. A new one is over $400.
