Was wondering the legal consequences of removing one of the headlights from the XG XR6 front, put some meshing and paing it to appear like a headlight, to allow more airflow into a pod filter?

probably just a defect, that said you might get a fine as you would have deliberately removed it and put the mesh there...

The headlights separate high and low beam units, so you would lose one - not sure that would be legal, definitely not low beam. Perhaps it would be better to see if you can get the right size light (must be ADR/E-mark approved to be legal) with a H1 bulb (which has both high and low beam) to replace both the outer lights, and duct the inner pair.
