Haha, so true- I come from a country that adores graphic violence but won't stand for an advert that says "where the bloody hell are you then?" Go figure!

Thing is that speeding didn't even cause that accident, swerving to avoid the animal did :

I think the ad is alittle over-excessive, I speed, but not that much, nor on a road that was in that bad of condition or that small of width. Its not really a clear message more of just a shock horror effect on peoples emotions. |

Exactly...Rule No 1...Never swerve at any speed. You could kill a dog at about 30kmh..It would have been dead doggy if I was driving and couldnt brake in time. |

You are standing on a road making out with your girlfriend WTF did you think was going to happen.
Problem with these adds is yes they are graphic but put simply they are not a realistic situation like the car got air and flipped 3 times and ploughed throe a fence, How fast was he going!!, Not to mention he swerved sharply for a dog wile along side the other car, who taught this spud to drive. |

Anyone can go faster than the speed limit and within the conditions of the road and weather. What this ad reinforces is the fact that there are unexpected things that cause these accidents to happen. Wildlife, kids on bikes etc. You know what you're thinking when you are driving but you cannot read minds of other living creatures including other drivers.

It appeared as if the overtaking driver was driving like he was drunk. The add doesn't state that, its just how it looks.
There are lots of variables here and lots of assumptions. But it shows how nasty it can get when you over take on narrow country roads and how a lack of abliity and driver education can take lives. If this turkey was put through a phsyc test before he was issued a license, he might not have been driving at all.

If he wasn't speeding he wouldn't have been at the scene in the first place, still 4-5kms back down the road.

00:47 after the judge says whatever and he revs his civic to 7K RPM.
P.S: Anyone notice the celebritites in the ad? That probably helped a lot to convey the message I reckon: Namely, Colin McRae Victoria Beckham Kurt Rusell

yes that's rite if you do the speed limit nothing bad will ever happen, I think not.
What were the other bit's that went shown, perhaps the car that was overtaken was doing 20km/h under the speed limit and the driver behind him went to overtake out of frustration and then it all unfolded, did he even go over the speed limit??? Why did he swerve after the dog had already got out of the way?? |
