hey guys as the title suggest i need the best way to get from melbourne to surfers paradise. im leaving thursday and am just interested in which was most people travel
i am aware of whereis.com but i am curious of which ways people go thanks brendan

Going that way shortly... hume to Wagga, Newel to Goondawindi. I then go through Warick or Toowoomba what ever takes your fancy then just follow the signs to the Gold coast when you get closer to Brissy not too scenic but gets you there.. if you hurry you mite catch me :

I agree with Whoosha, quickest way to go, Best done during the night as there is nothing to see anyway and nice short 100Km trip between towns so the journey is broken down nicely. Forget any thought of the coast road as it will add hours to the trip.

As whoosha said...Done that drive a bunch of times....beware of.....boredom.
Take it easy driving back if its just you....stay off somewhere along the way It can be done in one go (as my Uncle did when he was young and stupid) but its 20 hours and roo's at dawn/dusk are regular visitors in some spots. |
