I know this is a weird post, but it's alllllways bugged me!
Everytime we use our dishwasher (only a couple of years old) the glasses always have this sandy sort of crap stuck in the bottom of them. I hate getting to the bottom of a glass and seeing it in there, not too pleasant for guests either, I'd assume.. Glasses are loaded upside down, glass cleaning liquid is usually added, and we set it on "super wash." BTW, it even happened with our old dishwasher. Someone must have a solution! :lookedat:

Wash the glasses by hand. Or rinse them out after they've been in the dishwasher.

Don't wash your wheel barrow in the same load as your glass and crystalware.

Make sure you clean the dishwasher out, clean the filter and tray at the bottom, make sure there is no build up in the soap caddy and give it was full wash cycle empty.
If you still have “Sandy stuff” change your dishing washing powder/liquid/tablets If you STILL have the problem, have a water purifier installed on your water supply or at least in the kitchen. It is always an idea to rinse everything before it’s placed in the dishwasher also. |
