About $3600, you'll need proof of purchase and an inspection in each state. Each new state you want to register it in will cancel the last state.

If it costs that much it would be just as cheap to purchase the car in the last state where you are going to finish then you wont have to transfer any rego

I think he is asking, "how much to re-register a car in SA that has been bought from another state....?"

What the???? That would be one expensive EB!!

Stamp duty calculator: http://www.transport.sa.gov.au/fees/stamp_duty_calc.asp

Vehicle inspection fee: $264 (just went up 1st July)

Then all of Mr Rann's administration fees (bugger all), number plate fees, and your rego costs ofcourse.

Don't bother getting a roadworthy in the state you are getting it from- it means bugger all here.

Ahhh crap. I didn't know it was that tough and expensive. How about transfer from Belco to tuggers?

No change on rego but the cost of an alarm, club lock, immobiliser, rottweiler and increased insurance makes it too expensive. Better off just parking it at Charny shops and catching the bus to it when you want to go somewhere

Dont listen to these guys, they lie. It depends on the amount of letters in each states constitution. They then have to be mulitplied by .0057 cents per letter, and divided by 103. You then add the numbers in the vin, and count the letter. DO NOT ADD DUPLICATES. You can only have each letter once. Then subtract the price of this mornings pie and choccy milk from the nearest bakery to the department of transport, and you have your costs.
