Nice work Peter,

Would be awesome if you could get a vinyl in a blue similar to your main body colour.

I know a guy that covered his whole car(TX3 Laser) top to bottom in vinyl, couldn't pick it either.
Not until you got really close to it anyway...

Didn't Wilson do it to his Falcon wagon ... and it looked bloody good for a vinyl job as well

I need to do my calipers as well .... i am just too lazy ... how long did it take to dry????

And nice to see the wheel/tyre upgrade as well ... much better looking now.

You are correct, Nat and I did it to his EF wagon. Was a pretty good job. You couldn't tell from a distance. Up close you could see the edges.

Finally all brake calipers painted.

Now just finished upgrading instrument cluster replacing old green light scheme with the new white LED. Wow big difference, alot clearer and looks so cool.

Have thought of blue LED however every other modded & XR-FPV cluster has it so i wanted to be original by going white LED. Along with painted chrome-silver cluster facia. Afew hours of my time but well worth it.

Next project will be lighting up the interior with every possible illuminated buttons which will include the whole centre console and also adding some footwell lighting.

Dash looks really good Peter. Good to see that you just didn't go with the flow and put blue LED's in. The white looks a lot better

the mobile phone LED are too difficult to deal with plus they have a shorter life span. i had at my disposal 100 x 3mm white superbright LEDs with resistors which are the next best thing and much easier to work with.

You better be careful there peter...

It may turn EMO, the car may get depressed and try to crash itself. :P

Damn Nice Car! Very well done!
I wonder if you went into your Ford Dealer and slapped enough folding stuff on the counter would they build a BF Phoon Wagooon or an XR8???

I could see myself in a Citric Acid XR* Wagoon with a 6 Speed Manual rakka rakka rakka.

Nice car man, something on the mods list is the ol waggs of mine, to have the XR look.

Thinking of BF XR front. These wagons look cool with these mods.

Dash upgrade is definately the go, I did one of these on my ED, looked cool.
I have LED's to spare, I found some 1 watt Blue and 1 watt White LEDS at Dick Smith.
They are really bright and most of all, they have spatial light. Not like the standard LED's that have a 20 o light angle, these have around 110 o light angle.
So they cost about 10 bucks a pop, but a few resistors and bob's ya uncle.
Have to use a slightly heavier type of resistor (wattage), due to the increased current, standard resistors at the right resistance, will heat up quick.
These 1 watt, give off I reckon around 17,000 to 19,000 mcd equivilent.
The most you can buy at the moment is around 16,000 mcd.
But dashes dont light thin light, they like spatial lights.

I wanted to use LED's in the map lights too.

Well Ford did stop the XR6 / XR8 in the wagon variant back in the ED days.
But nothing stopping a dealer doing, like Holden did the "EFFIGY".
Ford need to put out something like this.

LOL, mustang variant I reckon (for the overall Ford), but the Aussie version maybe a GTHOE variant )))
Man, would rock.
