Default ADSL2+ Set up time

Hey guys,

I'm trying to get ADSL2+ set up at my new place and so far, all the ISP's have said theres a 2 week wait. IInet have no ports available and they're uber quick to normally set up a connection. Who would you recommend for ADSL2+ for Perth? I'm trying to get it asap for Work purposes and would appreciate feedback

Can't say for Perth. But I am in Brisbane and it is 10 working days to get ADSL2 installed in Brizvegas. Thats with OPTUS,don,t know about other isp's.I get connected this week, wireless modem is being delivered by Rick Kelly !! OPTUS uses TOLL to deliver there modems..BUT don't use TELSTRA rip off merchants. My plan with OPTUS is 20gb at 20000 speed, free wireless modem unlimited local and std calls with line rental for $99 a month. Check OPTUS Fusion plans

make sure there are ports avail on the exchanges, companies like telstra want you to sign up first, then tell you there are none in that area.. idiots (it wasnt me who tried i gave up after RAWNET went bust...idiots again and the government)

anyways moral of my story is make sure there are ports free, waiting time for connection is usually 5-10 working days, i think weekends are counted as 1 day maybe not

10-15 working days is standard timeframe as covered under the Telstra CSG for broadband connections. If iiNet is full, your only other chance in WA is Amcom(Amnet) or Telstra. You might get lucky and find Optus is able to hook you up, but not without taking your home phone, mobiles and your first born too

Weekends are not counted....that would be why they state "business days".

TPG has the best adsl plans that I've seen. They also have an indian speaking call center that won't help you much when you get stuck.

However, they connected my adsl1 in 8 hours?

A better resource for broadband is here: http://www.whirlpool.net.au

Might want to try this web page as well: http://www.adsl2exchanges.com.au/

Edit: This thread on Whirlpool might be best: http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum...s.cfm?t=709165
