lol

Most of the people on here are great (at least the ones who post regularly!), there can be a couple of Wayne Kerrs, but i assure you they are definately in the minority!

I mean i understand some peoples point of view, like when you know alot of stuff about a particular subject, then you expect others to know it also and it can get frustrating explaining it over and over and over again.. Trust me.. I know.. I'm a high school science teacher

Personally tho, i love explaining to people, trying to help them understand what they don't already, trying to get it to them on their level, as do most of the members who help out here.. I mean i have asked a couple of basic questions in my limited time on this site and most people who respond do give constructive feedback and/or suggestions. They generally are a big help

We all try to help mate it just that we do not have the answer to every thing. for me i think they are doing a good job
sorry abit off topic here but i just need to ask
I have a question for you ayeyew, how come you are on your P's and be a High school teacher? if that is not to personal. It is strange because am a High school student and the closest thing to a p plater teacher is the gap year people that help the school.

Like AyeYou said, its a minority that are wayne kerrs, but it works both ways, It seems some of the 'younger' and newer members demand and expect all their questions to be answered and if they dont like the answer they have a sad.

Just my 2 cents

Yes and what that actually accomplishes is to make the knowledgeable ones wonder why they bother trying to assist... and then, they won't.

It will be our loss...

Sounds like a good idea, but what happens when you answer, and they still ask the same question? What happens when the same topic has been covered 2 dozen times (that's what search is for)? What happens is what Ronwest suggested - we don't post, or we use PMs to sort them out.

I also think you'll find that help is more often than not offered to those who really want/need it, but to those who ask a question for the sake of asking, I personally don't have much time for them. I reckon you've been reading the "what oil?" thread and your comments may be aimed squarely at me - or maybe I'm being too sensitive. At the end of the day, that guy got the advice he needed. Whether he chooses to take it or not is up to him and his mate who tells him everything.
