Default reset ECU

am wanting to know how i reset the ECU and start fresh.

Disconnect the battery for about 1hr.

Upon reconnecting it, there is a procedure Ford list to reset the ECU (and its also on aufalcon.com), but personally I dont use it, never have. I just drive the car normally.

Be prepared for it to run like crap for the first few kms as its sorts itself out again, but after that it should be fine.

found it on aufalcons mate but will do what you do let it work itself out.

No worries, I have tried using it but to be honest I saw no real difference. You'll be fine whichever way you decide to do it.

Any particular reason you want to reset the ECU?

just i had the anel beater disconnect the battery on thursday and when i picked car up friday car was runnin a bit rough. it was good when i dropped it off to panel beater. have reseteed the ECU tonight and car is running heaps better mate. running better then ever as I hae only owned the car for about 2 months so it prob needed to be reset.
