Velvet Revolver are 100% better than the current gunners, classic Guns & Roses is great music.

Adreed.

I have been a GNFNR fan for the last 20 years! Well until Axl's ego killed the band. I have always loved Slash's guitar styling, awesome. Big fan of A4D, and Chinese Demogracy is supposed to be released this year. (VR are to release new album this year too!!)
O have $1000's of collectables from the days they were big. Prob all worthless since the band aint't the samw quality anymore. Meh, oh well.

Totally agree about Lies though.
Yeah, went to the Sydney show, had a great time, currently listening to 7 studio demos from Chinese democracy, most of them will be high up in the charts when the album finally comes out.

Robin Finck and Ron Thal(Bumblefoot) are both as good as slash if not better. I'm not putting Slash down at all, He's a great guitarist, but I think if you heard some of the new G N' R songs as opposed to the new VR album, alot of people will realise just how much Axl has to do with writing great songs and making quality music.

Rons got a website with samples of his solo stuff and I think there might be some pictures of his weird guitar collection. www.bumblefoot.com.

I was playing an old rose tattoo record i hadn't listened to for years, and Nice Boys was on it. I have listened to both versions a million times and only just made the connection.

maybe i enjoyed my youth a bit too much, brain no work good....

I couldnt agree more.

I personally think GNR wouldnt of got as far as they did without slash. He is a wicked guitarist.

He was one of the ones who inspired me into playing guitar.

you can't seriously say Velvet Revolver is better than the current gunners...?

If you do you obviously havn't heard some of their latest leaked demos like There was a Time, The Blues and Catcher in the Rye. Look em' up on you tube, I have both VR cds and yeah some songs are catchy some even good, but they have nothing on Guns n' Roses Classic or new.

It's easy to say Velvet Revolver is better than the current gunners..

Axl has lost the plot and his voice. Pretty simple.

Lost the plot maybe, I don't really know him personally just a bunch of leaked info about him from the media and the press that are always right :togo:

Yeah fair enough he might be so full of himself that he drove the other members away but I think he has a lot of guts regrouping new artists under the same name considering he was going to create alot of critisim doing it. I know a lot of people who think he should have just crawled under his rock and dissapeared but he's out there doing what he does best. Ok his voice will never be as good as 'Appetite" you know it and I know it but it's still there, the new songs are demos and each one improves with each leak.

I've listened to one version of 'The Blues' in particular a great deal and that song flowed back memories of a band in their prime, imho it's as good as some of their classics. You may not agree but his voice is still brilliant, look at a video of him performing at the mtv awards in 2002... he has come a long, long way.

Couldn't agree more I've got all of the studio demos leaked so far and I was at the sydney concert, This album will come close to appetite.

I gotta agree with the above. They 'were' a great band back in their day, but i dont think i would go as for to get a GNR tattoo !, or of any band for that matter. Do you want some old deceased band name tattoo'd on your arm when your 70 years old an wrinkley ( that long ) ...
