Default The Ute has gone to a new home!

Hey all some of you may already know that i ended up selling the ute and replaced it with a new toy, I know its not a Ford but im still a Ford man i just wanted t try something differant i guess, life goes on. I do miss the ute somewhat and i hope the new owner of it takes as much care of her as much as i did because i LOVED that ute. My new ride is a Brand new VE SS in Morpheous 6L V8, 6 speed manual, leather interior, 19inch wheels, the only thing i have thought about doing to it so far is window tints (dealer wanted $700 i said no) and maybe some lowering but only with the GTS or R8 suspension. Ill upload some pics so you can see what i talking about. I love the colour and im forever getting comments on how good it looks in the sun.

Shaun.

P.S sorry about the pics they are off my phone N95 and it was a bit sunny.

Performance wise i'd have to say that this car being a manual feels more pokey, but the VE reels on the speed a lot quicker, in saying that i dont think the ute would be far behind if at all. Yes the ute was stroked.

Shaun

it looks good in the sun, I havent seen too many that colour up here, theyre all either red or white. But youre still a poof for owning a girly purple car :

Do you know if anybody's bought the ute yet or is is still at the dealers?

I am *this* close to jumping into a BFII XR8 so I might follow your lead and leave the utes, see how we go.

Gotta love how the Morpheus Metallic looks out in the sun. Would be my favorite color...And considering the wife wants to paint the XR in that color, I should like it lol

That Calais is horn, I feel dirty now

Shaun nice pick up, I can understand the reasoning behind it but I don't think I could ever go through with getting rid of the stroker. Although the amount of power that you can get out of very simple mods is as good a reason as any.

Thanks for all the comments guys, its a real dream to drive just as the ute was, it putts along at 1400rpm in 6th so it really screams stomp on my pedal. The colour is awesome too look at and Austin purple isnt gay what about Wild violet XY's and all them? Purple is a differant colour but i love it.

I can definately understand why you would get that over a BFII XR8, I think I'll wait until the Orion has been around for a bit until I update though.
