Well?? According to our gov in NSW the prices in Vic went up due to drought.. Even though from memory they are coal fired..
So now drought is over the prices will be returning back to near were they where before ??? They did say its like veggies and fruit! In a drought prices rise! So one can only assume they came down when drought is over??? As it has nothing to do with selling the industry...

yeah, nice one.
wouldnt hold your breath and wait for the prices to drop after the drought is over. its more of an excuse to put them up, just like charging a fortune for water. do you think the price of water will drop when there is a mass supply again? |

Vic's power is from coal stations (the majority), but water is required in the process to make electricity. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fossil_fuel_power_plant |

Well, pretty soon we will have a privatised power if Costa and Iemma have their way. Scumbag politicians both of them, they promised not to sell last election. And they have the hide to say prices won't go up, LIES and LIES. Look at at Sydney Airport owned by Macquarie Bank. The worst of it is that two of the potential buyers are chinese companies!!!!! -True energy and Shenhua. Sold out to Communists.

Goverment dropping prices? Even if they do drop, they'll find another method of getting even more from us.

I thought they were recently reporting an expected rise in power prices here in Vic on the news etc. Supposed to hit in the next month or so.
Maybe I'm hearing things lol.
