Where is the place under the West Gate? I went to the Memorial Park in Williamstown recently, only had a tiny car park with bushes and trees all around it. Is it on the other side?

Docklands is good too.

If your driving from the Monash and coming up to Telstra Dome you turn left at the end and follow that road all the way down to the car parks. There is a Yatch Club down there and you can get your car in between the gates and get phots of your cars with water and all the new dockland developments in the background.

Not Pier 35 by any chance? It's a good place to get photos.

What type of car do you want to photograph, colour etc. Also, how far would you be prepared to travel?

Yan Yean Reservior.....Just a short drive north of Bundoora along Plenty Road is an awesome place to take pics of cars.
Even Bundoora Park is great too. It's just a case of knowing what background you want and then going driving and looking for what you want.

Here’s a couple of pics at the Monash library in Wheelers Hill. You enter from Jells Road to get here. I’m not sure how green would look, however, silver and red should come up well.

These were taken at the Eureka Hotel in Moorabool Street, Geelong. Any colour would look good here.

These are taken at the Westin Hotel in the city. You have to get here early otherwise people tend to park here. You can get some great effects with the overhead lighting here.

The Regent Hotel, Collins Street.

The lake at Pakenham next to the Civic Centre.

Hope this helps.
Cheers

I also like the ACCA building in Sturt Street south Melb. The one covered in rusted steel. Would make a great contrast for silvers & blues etc.

I like pics with a bit 'less' back ground. Have a look through mags and the better spreads ...... many are done in front of newly built factories ....... the main feature threads are done in a blank white studio back ground. Reason being they dont overpower the subject and can arrange the lighting aspect, such as a west facing building etc

Talking to car photograhers the main points are, not on grass and emphisise the car. not the surrounds. BUT thats coming direct from purely a car photography aspect. Some of the shots above are great and Daniel's is impressive for a mobile.

Jealous of your massive spoiler?

Yeah bad.

You're in melb, i'd be happy to give that au of yours a run. that is if all the downforce isn't holding you back from hitting 88miles an hour.

Don't be knocking the AU, were a pretty tight bunch and you may find yourself up against a quick one. Still happy to give an AU a run?

We are done here.
Ther thread was asking for locations on good locations for photography, yet for some reason some people have taken it upon themselves to turn it into an opportunity to attack other members cars.
Bit of a shame really - there were some great locations showing up.
