Ford was assembling cars here in Oz in 1925, way before Holden. They were American designed but that is a full 23 years before Holden was making the FX.

Your a stooge BOFB. You are not an Ford Service agen or dealer, you don't have the right to act as one and make a % markup. You taint the name of FPV customer service with your selfish ad.

Some of my friends have Ralliart Magna's and they are happy just like FPV owners that Ralliart Parts can only be acquired with VIN's, it prevents every ricer from have wannabe replicas and most importantly of all it help maintain their RESALE VALUE.

I wouldn't be happy to see the value of my 50k + car plummet further due to your shonky dealing. I hope HSV also hears of your caper.

I am quite free to be here and post what I like. I respect the decent people on here and enjoy being here, but people with appalling attitudes like yours only tarnish the image of these forums and ford fans in general and make me not want to come back here. So why don't YOU go back to wherever you came from YOU TOSSER.
yea i agree, oldracer, that was way harsh and uncalled for, rick was only making a light hearted joke - you have to expect that from the holden boys once in a while

What happens if BOFB’s GT-P is stolen and not recovered? The VIN number of this particular vehicle will go on a stolen vehicle database, and to my understanding will never be taken off. The GT-P wheels are sprayed with DATADOTS and for those people who have purchased the original wheels, they are going to be driving around with a stolen vehicle's VIN on part of their car. Obviously they will be able to prove where they got them from, but what happens if they sell the wheels to someone else, and that person can’t prove that they were sold third hand? The practice of selling these wheels may not technically be illegal, however, in many people’s opinion’s it is dishonest.

Cheers, Danny

I think the answer lies in a one for one replacement as suggested elsewhere. Believe it or not, I was unhappy with the condition of the stripes when I purchased my GT-P. The dealership readily agreed to replace them, no dramas. When I had them replaced, I had to give the old ones back!!!!!

I wonder if FPV would not be better served by running a similar advertisement in Unique Cars indicating the truth here. I'd be mentioning Wheelking also, he had no problem mentioning them.

Might be time for a big feed of humble pie, Mr Wheelking.

buying a GT-P is not the same as buying or agreeing to a distribution situation...

you thought it up, you tried it out, you got busted, so suffer.

I personally feel that as many people have mentioned, the uniqueness of these wheels should be kept that way..

All I can say is you go to alot of work to purchase your stock!
Same opinion as yourself,

Wouldn't it be nice if FPV just OWNED him a bit more and sued him for deformation over that advertisment.

Obviously GTP wheels will sell at a higher price than HSV rims...every pov *** 19 year old has a VS/VT with HSV rims and bodykit on it...It's basic business as you say. Nice try taking advantage of the oppotunity (which I too think is valid...) but I think it's very childish to act how you did.

I'm sure some the local guys near the wheel king would still use him if he had the wheels they wanted at the best price

Personally i'd have no problem buying that car, and buying wheels/tires from wheelking.

Saw from what I can see, people would have their **** in the air in regards to the process sure, but its just someone trying to make a buck out of it. I'd love to have the opportunity to buy that car. I've got 4 x 18" BA wheels which could bolt straight on and look hell cool.

Sorry but I can understand why FPV have 'cut you off' but geez people, he's out to make a buck about it, and exploited a loop hole.

Are more people ****ed because he was able to buy a GT-P so frivolessly?

And how many times do we hear people ask, "Can you get those wheels aftermarket"? This is how they get them!

I'm more ****ed about a mis-representation in his add. It comes across as his wheels were stolen and FPV were unable to supply (why else would it be up on bricks). But I am also annoyed that selling off originals are devaluing the image of the car.

What's the difference.I reckon these blokes are on the money.I find it hard to believe that some on here wouldn't like to update to a newer type Ford rim as i would love to buy the GT-P MK2 rims for my BA GT and the only way to do this is thru blokes like this.
