I took the centre console out yesterday so I could clean it up and discovered a white label on the left hand side.
It was quite interesting and had the following details on it.. It said JOB 325 TYPE 4 WARM CHARCOAL Then it had a barcode and my SIDO number next to it with EAGLE after it. then it had 8TH Sep 1998 2:04 pm . So is this only related to the console itself or is it like a mini buildsheet of the car? Why would the console be SIDO specific? is my car the 325th car built that day? Any one else noticed this label when their console is out? I love pulling the car apart and finding cryptic stickers like this!! sad eh! LOL :togo:

A lot of trim parts have stickers like that on them, used to help identify what parts go into what car when they're going down the line.
On the back of my doortrims I have something similar with "GRIZZLY" written on there in big letters (codename for XR8 Ute I'm told).

Must be factory banter... "the eagle has landed" and suddenly a Ghia appears!

I have always wondered whether Fords have "build" sheets. Like old American cars always have them under the back seat. My mate has an EB2 and he found a paint and panel quality sheet under the carpet on the drivers side. Im getting tinted next week so I might pull the interior apart to see what I can find behind door trims etc!

the SIDO number is the maid id used when going down the production line. because no number is the same it's the eaisest (spelling) id to use. its only a 6 digit number. try using the vin etc.

I have a roll of trim that I'm not sure from which Falcon variant it came, but it has some reference to Grizzly as well.

Grizzly = AU2.
However, the external memory mirrors that were developed for the AU2 LTD can also be found on BA fairmont Ghia and up, and the parts for these have 'Grizzly' labels on them too. I'd be interested in more info on the Eagle name though. Lukeyson
