Hey guys... i need some cost effective suggestions in order to fix my paint...
The car: AU1 Forte' - XR front and rear bars - bob tail boot spoiler - was white but now Blueprint. Problems: it was a backyard job by 2 previous owners ago, there is orange peeling, rough feel, dirt embeded in it, thin spots, and hand done touch ups around all door handles... Solution: I need one :P

Basic resprays are around the $1500 mark ... but you mostly likely have to pre-prep it yourself though. For a better job ... you are looking at more (depending on waht you want done). Or just matt black it for that rat rod look :

Personally, painting isn't that hard, it just takes alot of prep time, and alot of waiting for stuff to dry
IMO, painting is 50% prep, 40% waiting, 10% painting In your situation though, i reckon you need to worry about the rust you have, rather than the paint finish. Not worth respraying a car if there's no metal to respray. Cheers

I started a thread in paint and panel a while ago and no one answered so i might try here. Can someone recommend a painter in East/South East (Caulfield-Dandy sort of area) suburbs of Melbourne to take care of front and rear bumpers as well as some minor scratches in the body.
Sorry for the hi-jack. |

STUD PARK PANELS in Rowville. They did the repairs on my car and did an awesome job on the paint. There a little more expensive than others but you'll get an absolutely perfect paint job.
