can anyone tell me if the au11 6cyl auto is the same as the V8? i was told it was by a Ford wrecker!

They're kind of the same, but they do have some differences basically making them non-interchangeable.

The bellhousing is different and Im not 100% sure but I think it may be slightly stronger?
