Kids are loving it now ....... Boys helped out with the freeing ......... was a top arvo .....

The sun was shining which gave the house a nicer feel to start with .... feeling inside were still there ...... but after our little party ..... all is well in the new Chateau de MotherNature (tm) ;)

We now have authority to use landlords account to get anything needed to fix the house up & kids are chosing colours for their rooms as I type ;)

I know what I want for the lounge & kitchen ..... still undecided for my room ...... do I go wacky or just nice & plain :P

Well done and good luck with this one Lisa!

Pity the spooks gone, I was thinking maybe you could of left out some sandpaper, a tin of Duluxe and a brush and roller, and one day you could come home to one buggered spook...lol

Welcome to the old house club, It's worthwhile getting a sparkie to put in an earth leakage unit, at least if you have some wiring issues it will trip out and stop the house burning down, thats the first thing we did when we moved in.
As for the other occupants of the house I have a theory that as you move in and start using the house they quieten down. The first few weeks in our place was pretty "interesting" but now we only get the occasional reminder that we aren't the only residents. It helps that we love the house too I think ))
We are the fourth owners since our house was built in 1860, have a look at our website if you like: www.rathluba.com , forgive the speed, its at the end of an adsl connection.
Good luck with your latest adventure, you've gotta love blacksoil, Nic's oldies are at Collie.

Regards,
Tote

After watching the news over the past few weeks a smoke detector would not be out of place..

From what I can gather the house is pre1900's .......

The house had all its electrics checked only a few months ago as they still use the power for the pump running the bore .... obviously if he house burns down they dont have a power source for it :P

There is already smoke detectors in but I will replace the batteries when Im there tomorrow ...... The forst day of the big clean up ;)
