Default Tensioner plug leak

Afternoon all.
My AU has an oil leak from what seems to be the tensioner plug behind the power steering pump. From what I can see, removal of this plug will not affect the tension, as you would first need to get in there with the allen key thingo. Do you reckon that I could un-screw the plug, seal it up with a gasket or new o'ring and screw it back in? In your experience is this a likely spot for an oil leak anyway?

Thanks in advance!
ShaneS.

It's a common place for a leak.

I had the tensioner replaced with the new item ... from memory the tensioner comes a kit with spring and seal/o-ring ... it was a while ago since I had it done.

Best to replace it ... as you need to pull the PS reservoir bracket away to get to it ... and need the specialised tool to undo it (although i think other's have made tools to do it as well).

It's something I'd just replace ... cos if you pull it out ... try to seal it ... and put it back in ... only to fiond it leaking again ... it'd annoy the hell out of me.
