how long till a disgruntled farmer takes a chunk of pipe out with either his tractor or some explosives?

14.5 Meters is the Australian size while they make a 13m size for export.

Lol. I just can't believe that GovCo intruded on their land like that for something which is of little to no gain.

Our taxes being wasted like usual. Just like the pathetic ferris wheel and other stupid projects in Victoria, while hospitals and public transport continue to worsen.

Evaporation is the same per square meter, the more square meters you have the quicker the basin of water evaporates. To store a meaningful amount of water in a shallow catchment requires huge areas of land, all of which is losing water to huge amounts of evaporation.

This is one of the reasons why the Traveston Dam is useless idea in QLD. But its going ahead anyway.
