Default New Years Eve

Cordial invitation to all to a New Years Eve shindig at our place. I've spent three hours on the pool today getting it up to speed. (And knowing you lot, will spend 7 hours on it after the party.)

I have no idea of details yet, but it will most likely be a BBQ, with you bringing meat, drinks and a salad/dessert.

More info closer to time. Just thought I'd get in early.

Cheers

Our pool was in need of some attention,
It had not been tested in a while,
And although it was cleaned daily,
It would need chemicals by the pile.
So, I grabbed a water sample,
And wandered out the door,
With the intention of visiting,
Our local pool supply store.
The person behind the counter,
Started the complex test,
This place has a well earned reputation,
Of being one of the very best.
She did the test with concentration,
Provided me with a sheet,
Loaded the car up with chemicals,
And I was on the street.
Focus hydrochloric acid was first,
Chlorine shock upon its heels,
Four bags of salt soon followed,
We’ll see how this water feels.
Calcium hardness treatment followed,
Chlorine stabiliser followed soon,
Phosphate remover was the final step,
My head began to swoon.
My skin felt like rubber,
My eyes ran like streams,
My hair came out in clumps,
You must wear protection it seems.
I am now bald and textured,
My skin rippled, I’m a fool,
I have, through my desperate haste,
Become a sort of ghoul.

Cheers

Hi yall

The plans:

Given the weather, feel free to drop in from about 5 - kids might like a swim.

I'll bbq from about 6.

BYO meat, drinks and a salad/dessert, plus good attitude and disdain for anything with a lion on it.

We've got some friends from all walks of life coming - should be a nice evening.

Cheers

Feel free to pop in in the afternoon, even if you're not staying for the party. I dropped in and saw Chris yesterday - mutual admiration for new cars. He got himself a good deal too!

Cheers

Thanks for a great afternoon Greg. Very impressed with the new baby. I didn't give the colour much thought until I saw yours, now I wouldn't mind one me ownself. Helen seemed very proud, and so she should be as its a big step from the ole AU.
See you on the 8th jan.

Thanks for your kind words. We're obviously delighted with the car.

I'm pleased you had a good time - I think everyone did. Food was awesome, with everyone bringing a variety of tasty treats. We have enough food left to do it all again! No, that's not going to happen - too tired.

Two Club members lasted until 2, with a good few people also staying on past midnight. Many battles fought in the pool - adults vs children - until the children left the pool to the "grown ups".

The highlight? My beautiful wife pushed into the pool whilst clothed. Twice.

Cheers

Hey - way cool!

I like that in nearly every pic, someone's got a drink in their hand - what does that mean?

Why is my wife swimming in her clothes?

Why is the person in the blue shirt farting in my pool?

Nice pics, mate. You've got a job as official photographer.

Cheers
