so I have a BA XR8.
and i cannot for life of me work out wat coast is or how to work it read the manual cant find any useful info on it. some direction ??

Are you referring to the cruise control "coast" button? It is for coast/resume when you have the cruise control turned on and have a speed set. In this context the terms should be pretty much self-explanatory to you. When on CC, at say 100km/h, if you hit the button once it turns off the CC and allows the car to "coast", thus slowing. Hit the button again (as long as you don't slow below about 40km/h) and the CC "resumes", thus accelerating back up to 100km/h.

thanks, i couldnt figure out what the coast was i figured the resume tho.

Hmm, on mine, if you are doing 100kmh with cruise set, and you hold down "coast" and coast to say 90ks and let go, it will set the cruise to 90
