But yes, XRs and T series for sure. I would have thought the VCT Fairmont Ghia also, but perhaps not (noting that you have a FG, I assume you don't have adaptive shift)

OK thanks for the responses. I have an oval space where it could have been so I guess either a) I don't have it (though I'm assuming that is unlikely as it a series III XR and I have been through the whole process of setting it) or b) some rotten so and so hasflogged my badge. :

AU Fairmont Ghias definately did not have the five strategy Adaptive Shift - only got the garden variety two strategy normal/economy function.
The NL Tickford Fairlanes were the first to get Adaptive Shift, then the AU XRs. The ESS in the T series is an different animal all together. |

I have it in my XR6 VCT and I'm going to blame it on my decreasing fuel economy (I may not exactly drive economically) :P can't be bothered doing the small rain dance to change it to either power or economy. The switches for them are better as you can change the setting a lot quicker and mid driving if you want

Goes great with my mods!!! Curious about programming adaptive shift on any AU... But probally not required. |

Yeah not having a button is a bit annoying and changing it manually is a pretty long process, not something you can do while driving. Maybe just build a shifkit into the power mode and you'll pretty much have the same thing.
